Pro and Amateur status
PDGA rules state that Pros are not eligible for the Junior division. This means, that a player (<19 years) who took money is not allowed to play in Amateur divisions anymore (which include Junior division). The European countries have agreed that all Juniors (<19 years) are allowed to play at the EC08, no matter if they took money before or not. A waiver has been granted by PDGA rules comittee for EC08 only:
"The PDGA hereby grants a limited waiver to the 2008 European DG championships event. European PDGA member players of junior and youth age (born 1989 or later), who have accepted Pro cash at a PDGA Tour event and/or are classified by PDGA as Pro players, may compete in the Junior and Youth divisions at the 2008 ECs. However they may only compete in Pro Open (or Pro Women's) division at all other PDGA sanctioned events, including events in their own and other European countries, and the PDGA World Championships."
